Q1. What have been your greatest successes (physically, mentally or emotionally) since you began? How does your body feel now compared to when you started and WHY?
My greatest success since I have begun CrossFit is winning the daily mental battle of self-doubt. CrossFit has taught me that I can do anything I put my mind to! I mentally and physically feel much stronger and confident due to CrossFit. Every day CrossFit gives me the opportunity to push myself to my full potential. I love it!
Q2. How has your life changed since starting CrossFit training? Has CrossFit transferred over into any other areas of your life?
CrossFit training has influenced me to be routine orientated. I’m a huge fan of the 5:30 AM class. My day is completely messed up if I am not able to start it off with my 5:30 AM class and a good sweat. Starting off my day at the gym has allowed me to have a lot more positive energy throughout the day!
Q3. What are the advantages of CrossFit style training compared to your previous workout styles?
CrossFit is a supportive community that sweats together. I love having friends that challenge and hold me accountable to exercising. Plus, we are able to relate and complain about how sore we are.
Q4. What advice can you give to others?
Listen to your body. People call me crazy for working out in the morning but I think they are crazy for working out in the evening. Everyone has an ideal time that their body performs best. Listen and make it a routine.
Athlete Specific Q. 1) For those that didn’t know, you love running. What would you say has been your favorite race to date? 2) Will you help CFDNR bring home the gold on August 10-12 at Copper Mountain to Aspen/Snowmass for the Reebok Ragnar Relay Colorado Race?
1) Autumn Color Run in Buena Vista Vista! It was gorgeous. It is an easier half marathon. I would encourage everyone to check it out!
