Q1. What have been your greatest successes (physically, mentally or emotionally) since you began? How does your body feel now compared to when you started and WHY?

My greatest success since beginning CrossFit is emotionally. I was not in a good state of mind before I started CrossFit. On the contrary I was constantly feeling upset with myself, and constantly making poor living choices. Since starting CrossFit my body feels stronger, which makes me feel confident and motivated. Now I want to be challenged and I’m eager to work out daily.

Q2. How has your life changed since starting CrossFit training? Has CrossFit transferred over into any other areas of your life?

Overall, since starting CrossFit I am a happier person with myself and with life. My daily habits have definitely changed. I’m eating healthier and I am regularly active. I use CrossFit workouts every morning.

Q3. What are the advantages of CrossFit style training compared to your previous workout styles?

CrossFit taught me to really push myself beyond the limit. Going to the gym has always been something I enjoy and would work hard at but I truly enjoy the challenge that CrossFit provides. I have learned many new movements that I love. For example, thruster, clean and jerk were all new to me. Now I love doing leg workouts!

Q4. What advice can you give to others?

The hardest part about working out is getting started. Once you do that, don’t give up on yourself. Work hard towards your goal and before you know it you’ll just be having fun and feeling great while looking great with a fun group of people!

Athlete Specific Q. 1) What is your favorite dog breed? 2) You have been able to teach a few of the coaches sign language, in your opinion which coach is the best at signing? 3) Will you ever give Coach Kody his apple watch back?

  1. Golden Retriever. I have a 10 month old girl named Koda.
  2. They’re all doing great and I really do appreciate all of the coaches attempting to learn sign language to better communicate with me to help me learn the workouts.
  3. Well, maybe if he gives me a year of CrossFit for free! LoL
