Q1. What have been your greatest successes (physically, mentally or emotionally) since you began? How does your body feel now compared to when you started and WHY?
I would say my greatest success has been watching myself transform over the past few years but to see the more significant gains in strength, endurance and confidence in myself from crossfit. Although sore from workouts Monday through Friday I feel awesome after every workout, when I started I was not as confident in myself or my strength.
Q2. How has your life changed since starting CrossFit training? Has CrossFit transferred over into any other areas of your life?
My life has not only been changed by working out but by the awesome people that are my coaches and new friends that I can workout with and either chase or encourage. As far as crossfit transferring into other areas of my life I am still trying to find an outlet that can transfer over!
Q3. What are the advantages of CrossFit style training compared to your previous workout styles?
The training style of crossfit is much more hands on and the motivation is not only the coaches but also the person next to you, also it’s like a family!
Q4. What advice can you give to others?
The best advice I can give is to keep moving forward regardless of failure because when you come back to some movement you didn’t beat, you may surprise yourself. I think this quote helps explain it, “try not to lose sight of your rabbit, you’ll be better for it. And remember that there is someone else out there who is trying to keep up with you, make them work for it!!”
Athlete Specific Q. Do you think you possess the power to produce the best sweat angel in the gym?
And as far as the sweat angel goes turn off the A/C, make it a long workout and ABSOLUTELY YES I can and will make the BEST sweat angel!!!
