With a good balance between life and work, my goal is to improve my performance with every WOD. It is not the competition that drives me, but the motivation to do better than the day before. Perfecting form and executing movements I never thought I would be able to achieve has been the foundation of my CrossFit training. When I first began CrossFit, I was intimidated by the movements and felt that some movements (box jumps, pull-ups, handstand push-ups, muscle-ups, etc.) were not in the cards for me. I quickly realized that the WODs are scaled to your abilities and there are always modifications to work towards performing all the complex movements. I completed my Health and Exercise Science Sports Medicine degree in 2006 at CSU, followed by my PharmD from the University of Wyoming in 2012, and completed my CFL1 in August of 2013. Currently working part-time as a clinical pharmacist and part-time at CrossFit DNR, I feel that I have found the balance I have been looking for.
